The knuckleball. Boston pitcher Tim Wakefield is the only regular knuckleball pitcher in the Major Leagues, but he is unhittable when his pitch is working. The ball is thrown with no spin, so it is heavily influenced by factors like wind. This causes it to dance around the plate.
