Colorado Rockies

Do they even need an introduction anymore? In case you’ve been living under a rock the past few weeks and haven’t tuned in to ESPN, the Colorado Rockies are n an amazing tear. Not only did they have to win 14 of 15 to get into the postseason, they are now undefeated there. The Rockies swept the Phillies in the first round and did the same thing to the Arizona Diamondbacks en route to the World Series. It will be exciting to see if this team can cap off the amazing streak with a World Series win.

Crown Em!

I thought It’d be a good idea to revisit this classic sports blowup moment from last year’s football season. Former Arizona Coach Dennis Green reacts after a disappointing loss to the Chicago Bears. This is one of the funniest moments in modern sport.

Rockies Jump Ahead

The race to the World Series is at it’s last step and it’s down to just four teams in professional baseball vying for the title. In the American League, the ALCS starts tonight. The pitching match slates two of the game’s finest starters in the Indians CC Sabathia and Boston’s Josh Beckett. Last night in the NLCS, the Rockies continued their amazing hot streak by shutting down the Diamondbacks 5-1. My prediction for the World Series is Colorado over Boston in six games.

Future of Joe Torre

The Yankees were unceremoniously dumped from the playoffs last night as the Cleveland Indians advanced to the ALCS. The blame could be shared by many on the Yankees squadron, but the focus will be on manager Joe Torre who didn’t meet his ultimatum from Steinbrenner. Will Joe live on to manage somewhere else or will he hang ‘em up as a Yankee? Only time and SportsCenter will tell.

Bowling League

I recently joined a fun Monday night league to improve my bowling game. The results are mixed so far, as I have had one decent week on top of three terrible ones. Four weeks into this thing I can tell it is going to be fun. On the rare occassion that I do have a good game, my high handicap will destroy the other team. I guess it’s a decent way to hone your competitive instincts while having a little fun all at once.
