Though I don’t mean to stereotype and it isn’t universally true, the essential drive and goal systems of men and women are in stark contrast. A guy has crisp visions of the future that may be hard to obtain. We see ourselves as the best in whatever we set out to do. That is why the allure of the executive desks works so well in corporate America. It’s also the reason for this glass ceiling thing. Women just don’t drive as hard (most of the time). Their goals are happier, but more vague and idealistic.

Have you ever noticed how different men and women’s ideas are about luxury items? Whenever a woman gets money, she looks at clothing and jewelry, while the guys like electronic gadgets to enhance their entertainment such as big screen theaters with home theater seating like Tony Soprano. More and more, women are getting interested in men’s things and vice versa. For example, bling!

How many of you guys out there could have a small fortune if you could sell back her shoes? It is true some women have a shoe addiction and buy many pairs they may never wear. Though not universally true, many men are not as guilty when it comes to shoe hoarding. Guys typically hold on to only a few different types of shoes, most often a pair of working boots, some casual shoes or flip-flops, and a sporting sneakers like the Air Jordan. Sometimes you can go out and try new shoes like skateboarding ones that offer good support for both sports and casual life.

Whenever that time of year is coming around, guys know they are on the clock. It could only be the wife’s birthday, the one time a year a guy must go to great lengths to insure a great day for her. There should be a few birthday musts for all sweet guys to remember, flowers and candy are a must as are cards and breakfast in bed. Combine practical gifts like a new cookware set with flashier ones like jewelry.
