There has been a new trend in the past few years aimed at lazy men, and while I appreciate them all and would get them with the money, I still think they are going to make us more out of shape. You have things like the Segway running around airports now, meaning cops and security don’t even need to walk. Sure, it makes it faster to get to trouble, but it also means those morning donuts are staying around his waste. Same with automated vacuum cleaners like the Roomba, though this is typically something the wife is happier about.

Many of us have fathers who were alcoholics, and indeed some of us may well be too! Yee-haw! I recently went mudding for the first time, and I highly recommend it to any guy who has a piece of crap truck with decent tires. You can’t believe the primal, childish thrills of rolling a machine that costs thousands of dollars around a mud hole for nothing but sheer kicks. If you live in a rural area or near one and have an old junk vehicle, find a good mud hole and tear it up! Just be sure to be careful not to get caught on private property or get in over your head – literally. Like everything else, mudding in moderation can be a safe, fun activity, Just keep your head on straight!

Though I don’t mean to stereotype and it isn’t universally true, the essential drive and goal systems of men and women are in stark contrast. A guy has crisp visions of the future that may be hard to obtain. We see ourselves as the best in whatever we set out to do. That is why the allure of the executive desks works so well in corporate America. It’s also the reason for this glass ceiling thing. Women just don’t drive as hard (most of the time). Their goals are happier, but more vague and idealistic.

The state of Florida is as fine as ever when it comes to looking for a vacation spot. It still offers all the big attractions - but remember, there is a reason no one lived there until air conditioning was invented. Unless you plan on spending a lot of indoor time, Florida may not be your best option. Even if you want the Atlantic experience, you can always go north to the Carolinas where you can enjoy the beauty and history of the Outer Banks, maybe you’ll even see some of the historic lighthouses!

Is there anything you hate more than your wife or girlfriend sending you to the store for a few choice items? Rarely are these items New York Strip steaks and six pack. More often, you will be sent to the store to get some Weight Watcher’s cookies and some tampons. Where do you even begin to look? You know you don’t want to ask anybody – Guys feel they have failed when they must ask. Back in the day, there was only one way our grandfathers drank coffee. It was diluted and always black, rarely sweetened with sugar or cream. Some have gotten back to coffee’s roots, such as espresso, while others are new takes on the hot beverage, such as the typical Starbucks fare or even the new jura capresso.

Have you ever noticed how different men and women’s ideas are about luxury items? Whenever a woman gets money, she looks at clothing and jewelry, while the guys like electronic gadgets to enhance their entertainment such as big screen theaters with home theater seating like Tony Soprano. More and more, women are getting interested in men’s things and vice versa. For example, bling!

There is nothing quite like video games for the stressed out guy. Rather than take a roll of quarters to the bar to get down, why not sign on to a video game? Despite controversy, playing a game will not make you into a criminal. If you kill someone because you saw it on Grand Theft Auto, you had some problems prior to picking up the controller. In any event, systems like the Xbox 360 and PS3 allow players worldwide to compete at everything, from sports to shooting to racing games. It is a big investment, but worth every penny. All you need is a TV, high speed internet, and about $600-$1000 to blow to get you off on the right foot.
